Brand Profile
MOROCCAN HERITAGE. PARISIAN FLAIR.
MEZEL is a High Perfumery house born from two cultures, not placed side by side but fused into a language of its own. Founded by French Moroccan entrepreneur Sophia Gyé-Jacquot, the House draws on Moroccan rituals and reinterprets them through a contemporary Parisian lens, creating fragrances that feel textured, distinctive, and deeply evocative.
From orange blossom water used to welcome guests, to mint tea infused with ambergris or dates shared during celebrations, each creation transforms cultural gestures into unexpected olfactory compositions. Familiar traditions are revisited with creative freedom, elegance, and contrast — never nostalgia.
Created in collaboration with renowned perfumers Jérôme Di Marino, Mathilde Bijaoui, and Julie Massé, the collection combines exceptional raw materials, high concentration formulas, and a strong focus on depth and lasting impression. Each fragrance is crafted in France and presented in refillable bottles inspired by the architecture of the Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca, adorned with MEZEL’s signature golden thread.
More than perfume, MEZEL offers a world where heritage is continuously reimagined. A House shaped by transmission, craftsmanship, and cultural dialogue, for those drawn to fragrance with character and meaning.
MEZEL translates from Arabic as “at the dawn of possibilities.”
