Brand Profile
Founded in Paris in 1774, L.T. Piver boasts centuries of expertise in the art of perfumery and takes pride in having created fragrances for Europe’s most prestigious royal courts. When Louis-Toussaint Piver took over the Maison in 1813, it became a symbol of excellence and innovation. Just a few years later, this earned him official recognition as a supplier to the French Royal Court.
Throughout the 19th century, the brand expanded across Europe and, under the direction of Alphonse Piver and Jacques Rouché, entered the modern era of perfumery. It introduced innovative techniques that brought nature and synthesis together, combining scientific rigour with the sensual richness of natural raw materials. In 2001, after several years of dormancy, a new chapter began for the brand.
With her arrival, Nelly Chenelat—a fragrance industry professional with a passion for olfactory history—embarked on an extraordinary archival project aimed at rediscovering and celebrating the Maison’s centuries-old heritage.
Today, L.T. Piver remains the custodian of authentic artisanal savoir-faire. At its production facility in Chartres, every fragrance is created through a meticulous process of maceration, filtration and hand packaging. True to its heritage, the Maison continues to approach an ever-evolving industry with remarkable boldness, reinterpreting its ancestral expertise in a contemporary and modern way.
Its fragrances reflect this innate ability, offering an authentic and timeless expression of olfactory luxury.
