On Saturday 14 September at the Antica Erboristeria San Simone (Via Ghibellina 190r), an event where you can compose your own perfume using fragrances combined with the colors of the rainbow. What spectacle, we can say marvel, appears to us as we raise our eyes to the sky after the rain. Myriad colors pummel our eyes with the magic of its light but they strike our soul even more. They remind us that rainbows are a sign of peace, the tranquility of a moment, the beauty that can take us back in time as we follow the legends told about them or even their multiple truths. Is the rainbow not the hand of God waving at the earth from heaven above after a storm? Does its beauty not unleash an intimacy, a complicity between two people? In Italian the word for rainbow is “arcobaleno” which has two parts: it starts with ‘arco’ or arch and here we want to present you with an arch of perfumes that will spread all around you (perfumes linked to the seven colors perceived, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet), and it ends with ‘baleno’ or flash, a fragment of time, although this is not the case with our perfumes which will last for a long time and, when that has passed, may greet you with new perfumes. You can choose your own personal rainbow, you will compose your perfume using hints of the essences linked to colors, using your mind but most of all your heart, after all that is what we call the central part used for making a perfume (introduction to the event by Dr. Fernanda Russo, Master Perfumer, proprietor of the Antica Erboristeria San Simone).
