At the origin of every gesture lies care, protection and inquiry at once, attitude and intuition, a place of shelter and an open horizon.
CURA is the evocative yet concrete word chosen to define the guiding theme of the 24th edition of Fragranze (Florence, Stazione Leopolda, September 11-13 ,2026).
With swift brushstrokes or with slow, deliberate gestures, masterpieces take shape. And if the Iris, the noblest of flowers, lends itself to metaphor, from its palette emerge refined fragrances and sumptuous textures that care for both body and soul.
Its delicate corolla, like a sensual origami of the light paper, trembles in the air. Its strength lies hidden in the rhizome, which each spring patiently gives rise to a new flower.
A new beginning.
To desire the invisible, to create what does not yet belong to us. There is a precise moment in which the creative process begins: a void, a vertigo, a blank page. Nothingness becomes the origin of everything. It is not always quiet, it may also be a flash of Dionysian ecstasy.
“To the moment I’d say: Stay, you are so beautiful!” implores Faust in Goethe’s masterpiece. But the moment slips away, leaving behind olfactory memories, captivating soft focus, delicate nuances.
A dreamlike blurring effect that transforms care into attention, contours into emotional passages, becoming synesthetic and perceptive, opening the doors to creation.
