Brand Profile
TOMOO INABA is a Japan/French-based fragrance house founded in 2026 by perfumer Tomoo Inaba and director Philippe Constantin from Maison Incens. All fragrances are designed in Japan and produced in Grasse.
Tomoo Inaba is a Japanese perfumer and fragrance journalist who has been shaping the world of scent for more than two decades. Since 2003, he has operated profice, a pioneering online portal dedicated to fragrance culture in Japan, where he has reviewed over 7,500 perfumes. From 2009 to 2016, he hosted perfume-making classes, introducing many people to the art and craft of perfumery. In addition to his expertise in niche fragrances, he is also well-versed in vintage and historical perfumes as a dedicated collector.
While teaching perfume-making classes, I created more than 50 original fragrances, leaving me with a large body of unpublished work. With the support of my director, Constantin, I decided to bring these creations to market. This brand is, in a way, a warehouse for my work. New scents are developed every day in my countryside office, surrounded by countless vintage bottles. Many people kindly regard perfume as an art form, but I do not think of my own creations as art.
To me, they are everyday items things that enrich daily life and lift the spirit, much like books do. Please feel free to enjoy my fragrance world as seen through my filter.
